| Due to the rainy days we're having, I'm posting a picture from the archive. This one was taken on July 19 of this year. It shows Uppsala's iconic belfry "Gunillaklockan" (Gunilla Bell). The bell was donated by Queen Gunilla in 1588 to the Castle's church, and it came to it's present position after the great fire of 1702 when most of the Castle, and the city, burned down. It rings every morning at 6 am and every evening at 9 pm. |
