Picture of the Day #3

Linneanum, in the Botanical Garden. The original design by Olof Tempelman was revised by French architect Louis Jean Desprez on the request of Gustaf III. It was inaugurated in 1807, a hundred years after the birth of Linné. Along the sides one finds many trees growing in barrels, among them several laurels that were planted in the 18th century.
Overlaid texture by Skeletal Mess.
